SAN’s Flor Azul program in Tegucigalpa and Comayaguela, Honduras provides homes and protection for at-risk street children in, as well as balanced meals, educational opportunities, psychological and medical care. They care for 51 boys who are currently attending elementary and high school. Flor Azul also includes a youth farm where boys learn valuable skills involving training in agriculture, animal health, aviculture, vegetables and plantains farming, animal traction and soil. Through Flor Azul’s Learning-by-Doing method, they expect to achieve sustainability by producing foodstuff for sale and consumption.


How The Orphaned Starfish Foundation Helps


OSF contributes by funding and furnishing a computer center for Flor Azul. We provide computers, software and a teacher’s salary, as well as installation and maintenance, and care of supplies. The skills the students acquire in the center help give them an alternative to life on the streets. OSF has also provided their first hardware to learn Robotics.





Hogar Jerico is a non-profit organization serving boys and girls who are children of women prostitutes. They have two family homes and for the kids and two schools to meet educational needs, a sewing & jewelry workshop for women other programs. Hogar Jerico provides a safe environment which allows children to be restored from their past hurts and begin to dream again.


How The Orphaned Starfish Foundation Helps


The Orphaned Starfish Foundation established a computer center to provide technology training which will help prepare students for the future. OSF funds the teacher’s salary, the installation of computers and computer supplies, software programs, internet, and the furnishing of the computer center program. OSF has provided a complete computer center to ensure the success of the children. OSF has also provided Robotics to Hogar Jericho.
